Eligibility
Lower Merion School District students enrolled in LMSD schools who are seeking to accelerate (accelerated learning i.e. earn a new credit) or need to repeat a course in which the student was not successful (credit recovery i.e. make up a credit) are eligible to participate in the LMSD summer school program.
Courses are for students currently enrolled in grades 6-12 seeking the following options:
- Credit Recovery - to make up a course that a student failed during the regular school year
- Accelerated Learning - to earn advanced credit in a subject to create more flexibility in a student's schedule, and to better balance their academic course load during the following school year.
- Virtual courses in the Montgomery Virtual Program (MVP) and District online offerings - these are for LMSD students who attend LMSD schools only.
Summer School rules and guidelines apply to all students seeking to attend the LMSD Summer School program.
