Dear Families,

We welcome you to Penn Valley Elementary School!

Penn Valley provides a supportive and nurturing environment in which all children in kindergarten through grade 4 are active participants in the instructional program. Our highly skilled and dedicated teachers align instruction in accordance with the state standards and the district's curriculum. Our staff is committed to providing our students with culturally relevant and rigorous instruction. They also employ their own creative talents to deliver an educational program that meets the children's individual needs. We work hard to reach each child academically as well as socially and emotionally.

Our school is an environment in which our community's racial, ethnic and religious diversity is celebrated. Penn Valley is home to children with varying degrees of learning differences. In modeling, embracing and nurturing the acceptance of people with special needs, we help our children understand the true meaning of empathy and understanding.

Penn Valley's educational community is enhanced by the partnership we share with the Home & School Association. We are fortunate to have a very supportive and involved family community. We believe that a strong partnership between our school, each classroom and home is critical to student success. We encourage, and invite you, to participate and become engaged in our school. Without the support and involvement from families we would not be able to achieve our dreams. Working together enhances the caring school environment that makes our school so special.
