Principal's Welcome

My name is Toby Albanese and I am the Principal of Merion Elementary School.  Merion is a school with a lot of character, and history, comfortably nestled in a picturesque community.  Upon arriving during the summer of 2019, I quickly learned that this school and community are special in many ways. 

Merion's students are afforded an outstanding academic and co-curricular program thanks in large part to a strong staff and an incredibly supportive HSA (Home and School Association).  The fact that Merion had just two principals over a 50-year span is a testament to the students, staff, and community all coming together in positive ways.  We believe that relationships matter and work to meaningfully connect with all who learn here, work here, and visit here!

We're guided by an innovative central leadership team unafraid to do what matters most.  We will work hard to continue pushing Merion forward paying particular attention to the individual strengths and needs of each and every student.
