Merion Cafeteria Volunteers Help Lunch Run Smoothly

Merion Elementary parents and guardians have stepped up to the plate to help lunchtime run smoothly for the school's youngest learners.

The volunteers assist kindergarten and first-grade students with lunchtime tasks including opening packages, carrying trays and handwashing.

In return for donating their time, the volunteers get an inside look at their children's school day. The program is loved by the students and volunteers alike.

This great example of community participation in school runs through the first two months of the school year, as students acclimate to the cafeteria and its procedures.
