Update on High School Fall Sports
Update on High School Fall Sports

On Friday, August 10, 2020, the PIAA Board of Directors moved the official start date for fall sports back to August 24, 2020.

The PIAA is meeting on August 21, 2020, to discuss any further changes to the fall sports season. Also last week, the Central Athletic League (CAL) voted to play a Central League-only schedule and to push back the first competition date to October 1, 2020. Both the PIAA and CAL are permitting schools to continue voluntary workouts in compliance with each district's athletics health and safety plan.

At this time, Harriton and Lower Merion high school teams will continue voluntary workouts. The athletic departments are operating in Phase 2 of the District athletics health and safety plan. Mandatory workouts for the fall season will not start prior to the first day of school on September 8, 2020.

Please note that all of these dates are subject to change due to current conditions and decisions of the Lower Merion Board of School Directors, Central Athletic League, PIAA and Office of the Governor.

Any student who has a CIPPE/physical form to turn in can scan and email it to the athletic trainer at their school.

Any student athletes or their parents/guardians who have questions are urged to reach out to the Athletics and Activities Director at their school.
