Montgomery County Offers Programs for Mental Health Awareness Month
Montgomery County Offers Programs for Mental Health Awareness Month

May is Mental Health Awareness month. Mental Health Awareness (MHA) month has been observed every year in the United States during May since 1949. MHA month was created to create awareness, advocate, spread resources and reduce the stigma around mental health. Millions of Americans face the reality of living with mental illness or knowing someone who has a mental illness. MHA month is observed often through media campaigns and various local or national events.
