LMHS Prepares to Name "The Amazing Ace"

Lower Merion High School's inaugural "The Amazing Ace" event is this year's version of the traditional "Mr. Lower Merion" competition. Preparations are underway for a fun-filled production featuring ten of LM's finest upperclassmen.

This year's contestants are:

  • Juliet Bogan, Senior
  • Lonnie Davis, Senior
  • Alec Deegan, Senior
  • Jason Kozarsky, Senior
  • Spence Millrood, Senior
  • Amalia Schneider, Senior
  • Andrew Stern, Senior
  • Matthew Sy, Senior
  • Brian Ungar, Senior
  • Ethan Schatz, Junior

The competition will be held February 27, 2019, at 7:00 p.m. in the LMHS auditorium. Masters of Ceremonies will be principal Sean Hughes and seniors Davon Collins and Sam Fogel.

This year's contestants are all suspects in a murder mystery inspired by the "Clue" board game. In their quest for the title, the contestants will participate in an "alibi" catwalk, a hip-hop dance, an interview session, a talent performance and a partner dance. LM's a cappella groups and Dance Team will also perform. Iacobucci Formal Wear is generously supplying the contestants' tuxedos.

In addition to vying for the title of "Amazing Ace," each contestant is competing to raise money for a charity of their choice. You can support their students' fundraising efforts by making a donation here.

"The Amazing Ace" is sponsored by the Class of 2019. Tickets are being sold at lunch or will be available at the door for $10. The event has sold out for the last four years.
