Unified Track Athletes Win County Championship

Congratulations are in order for the 35 members of Lower Merion High School's Unified Track and Field team, who won the Montgomery County Team Championship to cap off their undefeated season.

Unified Sports join students with and without intellectual disabilities on the same team. The idea is that training together and playing together is a quick path to friendship and understanding, embodying LMSD's core principle of building a sense of belonging for all students. #LMSDBuildingBelonging

This year's LMHS Unified Track and Field team's Montgomery County Team Championship was a first-ever for the school. The team celebrated their amazing year with a trip to the Penn Relays, where freshman Aaron Silber won a bronze medal.

Coach Samantha Parks said, "It was a great season filled with some amazing memories and the athletes are already looking toward next season and defending their title.”
