Lower Merion's DECA Shines at District & State Levels

Lower Merion High School’s chapter of DECA recently concluded a highly successful competition season in which the Aces excelled at the district, state and national levels.

The stated mission of DECA (Distributive Education Club of America) is to help prepare emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the world. Students compete in a range of competitive business-related events, including Entrepreneurship, Sports & Entertainment Marketing, Business Law & Ethics, Travel & Tourism, Buying & Merchandising, Marketing Management and Financial Services, among others.

The district-level contest, which was held back in November at Saint Joseph's University, welcomed 448 students from throughout the Greater Philadelphia area. Twenty-two LMHS students placed at the event, the results of which can be seen below.
