LM Football's Archawski Selected to Play for PA in Big 33 Classic

The Pennsylvania Scholastic Football Coaches Association (PSFCA) recently announced that Lower Merion High School senior Xavier Archawski has been named to Pennsylvania’s roster for the Big 33 Classic, which is considered one of the finest scholastic all-star football games in the nation.

Originating in 1957, the Big 33 Classic, which has long been referred to as The Super Bowl of High School Football by those in-the-know, pits 33 of the top players from Pennsylvania against their counterparts just to the south from the state of Maryland. Archawski, who was a dominant force on both sides of the ball for the maroon-and-white, was selected to the Keystone State’s all-star team for his performance as an offensive lineman.

Many of the players who have participated in this game are recruited by Division One colleges and universities and many have advanced to the next level where they have attained a high degree of success. Some of the more notable former NFL players include: Kerry Collins, Marvin Harrison, Jim Kelly, Dan Marino, Joe Montana, Joe Namath, Ricky Watters and Ed McCaffrey, to name a few.

Archawski, who recently signed a National Letter of Intent to continue his academic and athletic career at West Point, can now add his name to this illustrious list of players who have earned this well-deserved honor!

The Big 33 Classic will be played on May 28, 2023, beginning at 7:00 p.m. For more information about the Big 33 Classic and how to watch the game as the date approaches, click here.
