Lower Merion's Claire Minverva Captures CAL Tennis Crown

Congratulations to Lower Merion High School freshman Claire Minerva and sophomore Shaila Anolik, who recently earned gold and silver, respectively, in the Central Athletic League (CAL) singles tournament! After dropping the first set 5-7, Minerva battled back to take the next two, 6-4, 6-3, ultimately topping her teammate in a hard-fought match to claim the title at the Springfield YMCA on September 21, 2024.
Next up for this dynamic duo—both of whom advanced to the CAL final by winning their first three matches in straight sets—is the PIAA District 1 singles tournament. Best of luck, Aces!
