Committee for Special Education (CSE) to Host Four-Part Series on 'Building an Inclusive Life for Students with Disabilities'

It’s never too early to start thinking about and planning for life beyond school for all students, but especially for our students with disabilities.

The PA Inclusion Collective is excited to bring another thought-provoking, practical four-part virtual series focused on advancing inclusion. This February, the PA Inclusion Collective are proud to host "Starting with the End in Mind” to detail how to design an inclusive educational experience starting in the earliest grades in order to establish the foundation for a successful transition to adulthood for students with disabilities.

WHEN: The four-part series will be held every Wednesday in February from 6:00-8:00 p.m. beginning on February 1. For details on each session, see below.

  • February 1 Session: Including Samuel Virtual Film Screening and Self-Advocate Panel Discussion
  • February 8 Session: Disabling Segregation and My Disability Roadmap for an Inclusive Life
  • February 15 Session: Starting Early - Creating a Roadmap for Inclusive IEPs and Transition Plans
  • February 22 Session: Action! Effective Practices in Transition to Adulthood

Our featured speakers will be award-winning filmmaker Dan Habib. and his son Samuel Habib, a 23-year old college student and aspiring multimedia producer, who will share their work and perspective to help you and your student with disabilities transition to higher education and integrated employment as adults.
