Lower Merion High School senior point guard Carson Kasmer has been named the Main Line Boys Athlete of the Week following a sensational start to the winter season. Kasmer leads the team in scoring averaging 20.4 points per game, while helping the Aces to an impressive 7-3 record as of January 6, 2025. The senior sniper has already connected on 16 three pointers and is shooting nearly 86% from the free throw line.
Off the court, Kasmer serves as a member of Lower Merion’s Best Buddies program. Next winter, he will continue his academic and athletic career at Gettysburg College.
“Carson is a dynamic three-level scorer who is not afraid of bright lights,” said head coach Gregg Downer. “He does not like to lose and plays with a swagger. He is well-respected by his teachers, and I feel Gettysburg is getting a steal of a player.”
