One of the great features about the new LMSD.org is the ability to receive alerts on events in the district calendar. You can sign up for alerts on entire calendars or individual events.
The first step to signing up for alerts is to sign in to the login with your LMSD.org account. (If you are a community member without and account, you can create your own.)
Once you are logged into the website, navigate to the calendar you wish to receive alerts on. It can be the main district calendar or any one of the school or department/organization calendars on the site.
Full Calendar Alerts
On the calendar page, click the orange bell icon at the top of the calendar.
On the Calendar Subscription management screen, you will see a list of calendars that were displayed on the calendar page you started on. If you don't see the calendar you are looking for, you may need to navigate to a different calendar page to sign up for alerts to that calendar. For instance, if I'm on the Welsh Valley Middle School calendar page and I click the alerts icon, I will only see Welsh Valley as an option. For this reason, it is recommended that you start on the district calendar page if you want to sign up for alerts on multiple calendars because this page displays all of the calendars that most users have access to.
Check the boxes next to the calendars you wish to receive alerts from. In the ALERT SETTINGS section, customize the alerts to fit your needs. You can choose how you receive the alerts (email and text message) and how far in advance of an event you would like to receive the reminders. (Keep in mind that in order to receive text message alerts, you will need to add a text enabled phone number in your account profile.) Once you have finished configuring your alerts, click the green "Update Settings" button at the bottom of the screen.
Individual Event Alerts
Locate the event that you wish to receive an alert on. Notice that you can't register for past events, only events in the future. Next to the event title, you will see an orange event alert icon.
Click the event alert icon and you will see a similar management screen as above, but only for that one event.

Once you have finished configuring your alert, click the green "Update Settings" button at the bottom of the screen.
Managing Your Alerts
Click on the "Subscriptions" link the the Account drop down in the upper, left corner.
You'll see a list of your "Available Delivery Locations" at the top of the screen and your "Current Subscriptions" at the bottom.
To delete a subscription, click the red "x" icon next the event or category you wish to delete. You can delete multiple alerts by checking the box next to each event and clicking the blue "delete selected" link for that section.
