The Gender & Sexuality Inclusivity and Belonging Group (GSIB) cordially invites LMSD parents/guardians of students in grades K-12 to join us for a collaborative discussion on December 18, 2018 from 4:15 - 5:45 p.m. in the District Administration Building (Room 264).
GSIB functions as a volunteer group of School Personnel within LMSD to support and address the unique needs of students who may be experiencing both challenges and strengths related to their gender (transgender, gender expansive, intersex, etc.) and/or sexual (lesbian, gay, bisexual, queer, etc.) minority identities.
This meeting is open to adult family members who would like to take part in an open discussion and collaboratively share ideas with other adult family members and the volunteer members of GSIB. Discussion focuses on topics related to students sexual and gender identities, thereby, informing the process for families and school members alike about creating a supportive school community where all students thrive and reach their potential.
In order to attend, please RSVP no later than Thursday, December 13 by emailing Beth Cavalier (email@example.com) or Gina Virkler (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Please enter through the main door of the Administration Building where a member of the group will give you directions to the room. We will begin at 4:15 p.m., so please plan to arrive prior so there is a person to let you into the building. We cannot guarantee entry into the building after 4:15 p.m. because the front desk closes at 4 p.m. We look forward to the opportunity to seeing you!
