The 15th Annual Dr. Harriton Competition sponsored by the Student Council recently took center stage in Rosemont as the Rams raised a whopping $42,310.30 for a pair of important causes: the Lower Merion Township Scholarship Fund (LMTSF), which provides need-based scholarships and funding for after-school programs, and the Sean Hughes Memorial Trust, in honor of long-time Lower Merion High School Principal Sean Hughes, who tragically passed away earlier this winter.
This year's ten capable contestants exhibited a range of entertaining talents while putting on a sensational show in front of the capacity crowd as the Rams' school community came out in droves to support Harriton's flagship event.
This year's Dr. Harriton-hopefuls were Sam Groover, Jason Dichter, Holly Montesino, Sophie Baskin, Carter Wolfgang, Josh Smith, Brad Garber, Phillipe Latour, Lucas Glozman and Hugo Paulet. The contestants competed in a series of lighthearted events including a talent portion, Q&A, several dance routines and more as they tried to convince the audience and judges of their respective claims to the coveted title of Dr. Harriton.
When the dust settled and the votes were tallied, it was senior Sam Groover who ultimately took home top honors at this year's competition. Congratulations to all involved another incredible success! To view a slideshow of pictures from the event, click on the image below!
