Harriton High School swimmer Kate Levensten has been named the Main Line Girls Athlete of the Week by PA Prep Live following a pair of outstanding performances at the recent PIAA District 1 3A Championships where she finished in second and third in the100-meter backstroke and 100-meter fly, respectively!
As a junior, Levensten won a pair of bronze medals at the PIAA 3A State Championships in the same two events and earned an automatic All-American time in the 100-meter backstroke and All-American consideration in the 100-meter fly.
When she’s not in the pool, Kate is a member of Harriton’s National Honor Society and buildOn community service organization. As part of buildOn, she and a small team of students raised more than $65,000 to construct a school for a community-in-need in Guatemala. Levensten has given a verbal commitment to continue her academic and athletic career at the University of Pennsylvania next fall! Best of luck at states, Kate!
