Lost and Found

Students are expected to assume the responsibility of caring for their own possessions, and it is strongly recommended that as many items as possible, especially all outerwear, like jackets, hats, and sweatshirts, be labeled with the student’s name. If an item is misplaced, the student should first check the area where the item was lost, then check the Lost and Found table in the cafeteria. If the item has been missing for more than a few days and it cannot be found, the student should then contact Mrs. Gagliardi in the library for help in locating the missing item. Valuable items such as cell phones, watches, wallets, purses, jewelry, eyeglasses, keys, calculators and cameras are kept in the office, and the secretaries there can assist you in looking for these items.

Every effort is made to return found items to their owners, especially those which are labeled and with the student’s name. Lost and Found will be cleaned out every two weeks. Items not claimed will be donated to a homeless shelter or other charity. This will occur only after we have made morning and lunchtime announcements and have printed reminders in the Home and School Newsletter to warn you that we can no longer hold these items.
