Standardized Testing Accommodations
A student's IEP or 504 Service Agreement designates a section for allowable accommodations on state and local assessments. There are four categories of accommodations: presentation, response, setting, and timing. An IEP team determines the appropriate allowable accommodations that a student needs to access a state or local assessment relative to each student's unique circumstance. Questions about standardized testing accommodations should be directed to your child's special education case manager (IEP) or school counselor (504 Service Agreement).
