Several months ago, Gladwyne Elementary School's Wolf Ambassadors organized a special fundraiser throughout the week leading up to Valentine's Day, which ultimately raised more than $500 for the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) by selling and decorating paper hearts.
The Wolf Ambassadors arrived early to school each morning to setup the "decorating stations" for students who chose to participate. The hearts were then put on display throughout the lobby. This was the first year that students held this event and due to the great success, will become a new February tradition at Gladwyne.
Fifth grade student Matthew Wool recently made the trip down to CHOP to present the check to hospital officials on behalf of the Gladwyne school community. The money will be earmarked for respective funds-in-need and cystic fibrosis research. Great job, Gladwyne!
