Job Fairs and Recruitment Initiatives
As a part of our recruitment efforts for the 2020-2021 school year, LMSD has planned to participate in multiple regional teacher recruitment fairs in addition to events in collaboration with Montgomery County Intermediate Unit. A sampling of those activities is listed below:
Swarthmore College STEM Recruiting Event/- Tri-College Recruiting Consortium
On January 24, 2020, Haverford College, in collaboration with Swarthmore College and Bryn Mawr College, held a fair for students majoring in STEM-related and education field. For more information, please visit the event website.
National Employment Minority Network (NEMNET) Diversity Career Fair
On February 29, 2020 NEMNET Sponsored a Diversity Career Fair that provided schools and organizations an opportunity to meet, interview and hire minority candidates. This event took place at Georgetown Day School in Washington, DC. For more information, please visit the event website.
Teacher Recruitment Day Consortium at Millersville University
On March 17, 2020, Millersville University, together with 10+ consortium member colleges and universities was scheduled to host a career fair for graduating teacher candidates and alumni. Delaware Valley Education Consortium (DVEC) (Greater Philadelphia Teacher Job Fair)

Delaware Valley Consortium for Excellence and Equity (DVCEE)

Montgomery County Intermediate Unit
Lower Merion School District is proud to collaborate with Montgomery County Intermediate Unit and the 22 school districts in Montgomery County in effort to recruit educators to our districts.
Due to travel and meeting restrictions related to the statewide quarantine, Lower Merion School District has been unable to participate in all recruitment activities listed below.
