Your school counselor provides academic counseling to students and consultation with parents / guardians. If your child is struggling with organization, study skills, or homework completion your school counselor can meet with your child to help them develop a plan for improvement. School counselors also are available to consult with parents or guardians in person or by phone. School counselors also consult with your child’s teaching team on a weekly basis and can provide parents or guardians current feedback about your child’s academic progress. Your school counselor is also a valuable member of their school’s Achievement Team (AT). The AT is a group of school professionals including an administrator, school psychologist, and teachers that develop academic action plans. Please contact your school counselor if you have any academic concerns about your child or to learn more about the AT process.
