Community Relations

The Department of Community Relations serves as the communications nexus for the LMSD community. We support students and staff through a strategic, integrated approach to public relations, marketing and community outreach. The office is responsible for:

• Coordinating and overseeing public and media relations
• Developing strategic communications and marketing plan
• Promoting school and District activities to the community
• Developing, coordinating, and publicizing special events
• Covering school events and seeking publicity opportunities
• Building and strengthening relationships between the community and the District and developing community partnerships
• Coordinating and producing District publications
• Managing LMSDtv
• Managing the District website (www.lmsd.org)
• Acting as liaison between administration and various stakeholder groups (alumni association, parent organizations, Education Foundation)
• Coordinating development activities
