K & 1st Grade Orientation
It is our pleasure to welcome you to Cynwyd Elementary School. The start of elementary school is an exciting and momentous event for your entire family. With that in mind, we hope that our kindergarten and first grade orientations will provide an inviting introduction to Cynwyd for both you and your child. Because of your efforts, the staff and I are better able to plan for your child as he or she enters a most important stage of development
By attending the orientation session, parents/guardians and their child, will have the opportunity to meet the teachers, to see the classroom setting, and afford the staff a chance to get to know the children. You also have the opportunity to meet other parents/guardians as well as some of the Cynwyd staff members who will interact with your child. A short presentation will be made in the library after the children are settled in the classroom with the teachers.
To register for orientation, please go to the Cynwyd Elementary School home page at www.lmsd.org/Cynwyd. Orientation schedules are included below. There will be one orientation session for each grade, approximately 1 hour long. It may also be helpful to prepare your child in advance of their visit.
When you arrive for orientation, please use the main entrance in the center of the building located on Levering Mill Road. You will sign in and obtain a Visitor tag. All visitors MUST provide a photo I.D. You will be escorted to the appropriate room. Session dates/times are as follows:
