ISC/LMSD Health Services Parent Education Series Presents
Self-Care in the Time of COVID
Tuesday, March 23, 2021 7-8:30pm via Zoom - register here
The ISC/LMSD Health Services Parent Education Series and Lower Merion High School HSA invite the entire LMSD community to Self-Care in the Time of COVID. Led by Dr. Cyndy Boyd, this workshop will provide parents space for reflection on their own reactions, needs, and roles during these times. As there is greater focus on attention to health and safety in a global pandemic as well as racial justice, equity and inclusion, parents and care givers in a family are in need of space to learn to ground themselves, identify and prioritize their feelings and needs, and enhance strategies and skills to cope with stress while also providing guidance to their children.
Cyndy Boyd, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist with over 25 years of experience and is the Director of Training at the University of Pennsylvania Counseling & Psychological Services Center. She is also a published author and editor, and a national presenter in the area of diversity, equity and inclusion, as well as in mindfulness-based approaches to teaching and learning, administration, mental health services, and community engagement.
The Parent Education Series is a joint collaboration between the InterSchool Council (ISC) and LMSD Health Services. Each event is hosted by a school HSA (thank you Lower Merion HS!), however all members of the Lower Merion School Community are invited and encouraged to attend.
