5th Grade

The list below represents the recommended supply list for starting the school year. Because not all students take the same courses, individual teachers may request additional supplies throughout the school year.
All students will be issued a Chromebook and charger and should bring both to school each day. Chromebooks should be FULLY CHARGED. Students will have access to a cubby to store their coats and other items. Students will also have the option to carry a backpack throughout the day. Some supplies will be stored in the classrooms. Students will not need to carry textbooks as classroom sets are provided.
Please Note
- A homework folder with pockets for each class period will be provided for the students.
- We will also be providing students with calendars to keep track of homework and long - term assignments.
General 5th Grade Supplies
- Headphones (wired) with standard ⅛ inch (3.5mm) jack (Bluetooth not allowed)
- One 1 ½" three - ring binder with a clear front pocket. Heavy duty, durable brand such as "Staples Better" brand. No zippers, please!
- One pack of 5 subject dividers with pockets
- Two composition books - any color/decor
- Two 1 subject spiral notebooks that are 3 - hole punched for a binder - any color/decor
- Three packs, dozen per pack, of SHARPENED #2 pencils with erasers. "TICONDEROGA" brand recommended - no mechanical pencils, please.
- One large soft eraser, such as - "Magic Rub"
- Highlighters - one pack of multi - colored
- One Sharpie - thin, black (for project work)
- Soft pencil case to carry supplies to and from classes
- Two boxes of tissues to be collected by homeroom teacher for classroom use
- One pack of glue sticks (2 count pack)
- Colored pencils - basic colors, 12 pack
World Language Supplies

Latin
- 1.5" to 2" Binder

- Paper (looseleaf in the binder or a notebook with lined paper is fine)
Spanish

Multi-pocket folders (aka “Nicky’s Folders”) will be provided for all students. IF this system of organization does NOT work for your child, we recommend purchasing a three-ring binder with folders.
General Supplies
- Assignment book/Planner: Example
- Zippered pencil case

Required
- Two different-colored 1-1/2" binders or similar tool for organizing assignments & papers - heavy duty, durable brand such as Staples Better brand
- Scientific calculator. Texas Instruments TI-30XIIS or TI-30XS MultiView or similar (will be used in 7th and 8th grade)
- At least 8 sturdy plastic dividers with pockets for the binders
- Notebook filler paper (wide-ruled)
- Two graph paper notebooks
- Two one-subject notebooks
- 2 two-pocket folders (vinyl or plastic recommended)
- One set of 3x5 index cards (lined)
- One ruler with metric side
- Marble copy book
- Sticky notes
- Colored pencils
- Corded earbuds with a ⅛ jack (standard size)
- Zippered case which attaches to 3 rings
- Mechanical or #2 wooden pencils, TICONDEROGA brand recommended

Communication
- 1 one-inch binder with looseleaf paper
- 2 two-pocket folders with 3-hole punch to go inside binder or to use on own, clearly labeled - Communication.
- Students will need to decide if they want to take notes in Google Docs or in a notebook used just for Communication class or in a labeled section of a binder. Please purchase a notebook, if that is desired.
Highly Suggested
- Tissues for homeroom teacher, teacher name written on box
