History
Beginning in November 2019, the District began periodically publishing newsletters informing the community about all of the exciting developments related to Black Rock Middle School – from construction updates to curriculum planning to contests where students and community members helped decide the school’s name, colors and mascot.
The newsletters also detailed the history of the land and the buildings that occupied it as well as introduced the Black Rock Middle School Ambassadors - students from Penn Wynne, Gladwyne, Bala Cynwyd and Welsh Valley, who will be the first 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th graders when the doors open in September 2022 - chronicling their special site visits with a series of pictures, videos, stories and more!
