RALLY Lessons - Community Building at BCMS
RALLY lessons occur 9-10 times a year in a students LEARN period. The lessons are structured to build a sense of community and understanding, as well as address issues that may come up during the course of the school year. Students will take part in several lessons based on the Olweus anti-bullying rules. We will not bully others-We will try to help students who are bullied-We will try to include students who are left out-and if we know someone is being bullied we will tell an adult we trust at school or at home. Other lessons are based on a variety of subject matter, some of which they choose through surveys including but not limited to: identity, diversity, service, and integrity. Guest speakers and assemblies are often considered based on student feedback and discussions during RALLY lessons.
