Author C. Alexander London recently visited Bala Cynwyd Middle School to speak with students about his books, the creative process and his personal journey from "reluctant reader to eager author."
London has written books for children, teens and adults, and is the man behind such titles as The Wild One series, Dog Tags, Tides of War, Accidental Adventures and Proxy.
Prior to penning his future publications, London attended Columbia University where he graduated with a degree in philosophy before earning his Masters in Library Science from the Pratt Institute. After graduation, London worked as a journalist reporting from conflict zones and refugee camps before deciding to try his hand at fiction writing.
Following the fun and interactive presentations, London led a series of writing workshops with BCMS students exploring character, setting the scene and the narrative structure of storytelling. To view a slideshow of pictures from London's time at Bala Cynwyd, click on the image below.
