Hello Parents, Guardians, Caregivers and Students:
Welcome to LMSD@Home! We are delighted to have you with us on this new journey. LMSD@Home was created in August of 2020 in response to the large demand for an online, at-home option for our K-12th graders. Our specific program includes Lower Merion School District curriculum presented synchronously and asynchronously to our students by Lower Merion School District teachers. We have more than 880 students in our K-8 program, which makes our school roughly the same size as Welsh Valley and Bala Cynwyd middle schools. With a student population coming from all six elementary schools and both middle schools, our K-8 program is a true representation of Lower Merion School District.
Since its inception, LMSD@Home teachers and staff have been working diligently to bring the Lower Merion experience to each of our students in unique and innovative ways. I am grateful to be a part of such a thriving and dynamic organization, and along with our dedicated staff, look forward to providing some much-needed stability and quality education for our students during the 2020-2021 school year.
I have been proud to work in Lower Merion School District for the last seven years as an Assistant Principal at Bala Cynwyd Middle School. Prior to that I was an elementary, middle and high school principal in Philadelphia. I look forward to this new chapter and guiding our LMSD@Home community as we navigate the ever-changing educational landscape presented to us. Although this is not my first experience opening a new school, it certainly is my first experience opening one virtually. I am eager to begin our 2020-21 school year in this new capacity and am excited to get to know our students as we grow into a new community together @home.
