Before- & After-School Childcare

Right At School Logo

Responding to the needs of our families, LMSD     has contracted with Right At School (RAS) to provide before- and after-school care for elementary students on-site at our elementary schools, when schools are open for in-person instruction.

During the 2020-2021 school year when LMSD is in virtual learning, RAS will offer childcare from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for students in grades K-5 at the District Administration Building, 301 E. Montgomery Ave., Ardmore. RAS staff will support and supervise students as they engage in the synchronous and asynchronous instruction offered by their LMSD classroom teachers.

When in-person instruction resumes, RAS offers a kindergarten enrichment program (morning care for afternoon kindergarten and afternoon care for morning kindergarten) at the District Administration Building in Ardmore. This program will have a transportation option, so that kindergarten families can choose a fee-based childcare option that meets their needs.

Having RAS offer these programs is part of the District's commitment to providing safe, engaging and meaningful in-school extracurricular programs to enrich the lives of students, give parents peace of mind and enable schools to continue to focus on their academic mission.

RAS works with the District Administration to provide childcare on some days when elementary schools are not in session or have early dismissals. RAS will provide families with information about fees and about which days and at which location these services will be offered.

RAS offers a curriculum that features hands-on learning, multi-sensory activities, child-driven projects, daily fitness, team building and leadership development. Families can choose before-school care, after-school care, kindergarten enrichment or a combination of those services.
