The Harriton High School girls' varsity tennis team recently capped off a perfect fall campaign as they improved to 20-0 after defeating Central League rival Conestoga en route to the Rams' second PIAA AAA state title in the last three years. Fresh off of their District I championship several weeks ago, the Rams continued their momentum as they cruised through state tournament play dispatching Carlisle, Shady Side Academy, Unionville and Conestoga without dropping a set.
"I was so proud of each and every girl," said first-year Harriton coach Kathi Rees. "They have worked so hard to get back to the state final and to see the emotion and joy on their faces was truly heartwarming. The seniors on this team showed such leadership and camaraderie this year. I was so excited that they could capture a state championship to end their tennis career at Harriton."
