Several student musicians from the Lower Merion School District performed as members of the National Youth Orchestra of the USA (NYO-USA) at Carnegie Hall on Friday, July 31, 2026, ahead of the orchestra's international tour.
Rising Harriton seniors Ethan Zhu and Noelle Streuber-Eden, along with 2026 Lower Merion graduate Yiguo Zhang, are all members of the prestigious and selective ensemble of 16- to 19-year-olds.
They will represent the United States during performances in Berlin; Amsterdam; Edinburgh, Scotland; and Aldeburgh, Great Britain August 6-10, 2026.
To become a member of NYO-USA, students must take part in a rigorous audition process and a multi-week training program through Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute.
