Lower Merion's Yi Brothers Win Central League Doubles Gold

The Lower Merion High School tennis team continued its winning ways as the tandem of brothers Justin and Brian Yi recently claimed the Central Athletic League (CAL) Doubles Championship by defeating Peter Auslander and Justin Xu of Conestoga by a 6-1, 6-3 tally in the final round.

The championship comes in the midst of a stellar spring campaign for the Aces as they moved their unblemished record to an impressive 13-0 with a 7-0 shutout against the former Central League champion Radnor Red Raiders. Seniors Vik Miller, Justin Miller, Ethan Blum and Alex Zhang have provided great leadership and stability for the team with each being unbeaten at their respective positions.

The Aces will look to remain undefeated as they take the court in the coming weeks for their final three matches of the regular season against Unionville, Conestoga and Upper Darby.
