The Lower Merion Board of School Directors wishes to go on record unequivocally condemning the statements made by Montgomery County Commissioner Joe Gale referring to the Black Lives Matter movement as a "radical left-wing hate group."
Mr. Gale's statements are ugly, divisive and exactly the wrong message for our elected officials to be sending at this time. We support the vote to censure him by the other county commissioners.

At a special meeting of the Lower Merion Board of School Directors on Monday, June 22, 2020, the Board approved a Healthy and Safety Plan for Athletics. The Board's approval of this plan will enable teams to hold voluntary summer practices for fall sports, beginning on July 6, 2020.
LMSD will be distributing free summer meals for children on Mondays and Tuesdays from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Lower Merion High School, starting June 22, 2020.
