The Lower Merion High School crew team was recently well-represented at the Scholastic Rowing Association of America (SRAA) National Championship Regatta in Camden, New Jersey as 53 student-athletes qualified to race in the competition, including the Boys Freshman 8+, Boys JV8+, Boys Varsity Lightweight 4+, Boys Varsity 4+, Girls JV4+, Girls Lightweight 8+, Girls Varsity 2x and the Girls Varsity 4x.

The highlight of the weekend, however, went to Emma Spaeth, Morgan Simpson, Minori Cohan, Eva Nates and Annika Edwards of the Girls Varsity 4+ who outclassed the rest of the field en route to their first-place overall finish.

The Girls Varsity 4+ boat will next travel to England for the Henley Women's Regatta (HWR) as they will join more than 1,500 rowers from the United Kingdom and across the world to compete in this prestigious event. Held on the rowing world's iconic stretch of the River Thames, HWR offers exciting side-by-side match racing for a wide range of competitors, from Juniors to University and Club to Elite level.
