Harriton VEX Robotics Team Wins Big

The Harriton High School VEX Robotics Club returned triumphant from a qualifier tournament on Dec. 14, 2018.

Team 197A swept the 31-team event with a perfect 10-0 record, bringing home the championship trophy!

A VEX robotics tournament round consist of a short autonomous period followed by a driver-controlled period. The team of programmers, builders and scouters not only went 7-0 in the preliminary rounds and 3-0 in the championship tournament, but the all-female team of programmers coded their way through the day earning a tournament-high 24 autonomous points!

This win qualified the team for the Eastern Pa. State Championships on Saturday, March 2, 2019.

Harriton Teams 197B and Team 197C finished a very respectable 7th and 8th place in the preliminary rounds respectively, but fell in their first rounds of the championship tournament.

Up next for the club is another qualifying tournament for teams 197B and 197C on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019, in Downingtown, Pa. Team 197A will also compete for additional awards.
