The Harriton High School Music Department recently presented their Winter Concert series in a pair of performances for classmates, family, friends and community members in the Rams' auditorium. Among the many groups featured throughout the two nights of performances were student-musicians in the Concert Band; Jazz Band; Orchestra; Chamber Orchestra; Choral ensembles; various a capella groups; and more. Congratulations to Harriton High School students Graham Branscom and Harrison Weiner, who took the top prize in the "News Broadcasting" category at the 2019 Pennsylvania High School Speech League tournament at Bloomsburg University this weekend.
This is the first time in 21 years that an LMHS team has advanced to the state competition, which will take place on March 29 & 30 in Harrisburg.
Local representatives will discuss the issues affecting our schools on Monday, April 1 at 7:00 p.m. in the Lower Merion High School library
The "Art Goes to School" volunteers make fine art accessible to elementary school students as they bring children information in an impartial, instructive and informal presentation while encouraging pupils to "look, listen, and feel" art.
