The Main Line Parent's Education Guide featured local families and educators talking about why they love their schools in response to their recent School Gratitude Survey. People had the chance to nominate particularly impactful educators as a way to celebrate the unsung heroes in our community who are making a difference every day. Gladwyne Elementary School first grade teacher Melissa Stagliano was one of the local teachers who was selected and highlighted as an "A+ Educator" in this year's Fall issue of Main Line Parent.
Stagliano was nominated by the Miller family, who wrote the following about their favorite teacher in response to the School Gratitude Survey:
"Melissa Stagliano is an amazing educator and human being who takes a highly personal approach to addressing the mental and emotional needs of her students. We feel like she really knows our child and is genuinely invested in his growth and development. She has been highly responsive when we have had specific concerns regarding our child and has always acted quickly to put a plan in place to address these concerns. Her response has always blown us away as it usually goes above and beyond what we have expected, including having personal meetings with our child, rearranging seats and providing additional work to ensure our child feels stimulated and engaged. It's not easy to manage a large class of first graders, but she does it with such ease and always with a smile on her face. We love her as a teacher and as a person and are so grateful that she has been a part of our child's education."
