The school year may be winding down, but fifth grade students from Cynwyd Elementary proved there's always enough time to do a good deed.

Over the weekend, the students distributed food collection bags in their neighborhoods and asked their neighbors to fill them with contributions to the Narberth Food Bank. The students picked up the filled bags on Sunday and delivered them to the food bank on Monday.

Food bank representatives say they were thrilled to receive the 172 bags full of non-perishable items, which are particularly in need as summer is on the way and school lunch programs end.
