On Monday afternoon, Dec. 14, 2020, a staff member who worked at Belmont Hills Elementary School last week reported a positive case of COVID-19. This is the second case of COVID-19 at Belmont Hills within a 14-day period. Therefore, in accordance with the guidance from the Pa. Department of Education, we will be closing Belmont Hills for the remainder of this week. Students will participate in virtual instruction in the hybrid model. The building will undergo a deep cleaning and we anticipate that students and staff will return to in-person instruction on Monday, Dec. 21, 2020.
As a reminder, even when students are not in our buildings, we encourage everyone to continue to follow the health protocols, including mask-wearing, handwashing and maintaining physical distance. Social interactions should be limited to household. If anyone in your household experiences symptoms listed in our screening tool, they should stay home and contact a medical provider. If anyone in your household has COVID-19, please call the LMSD Health Services COVID Healthline at 610-645-1973.
If you would like information about testing locations, please visit the Montgomery County COVID-19 Testing page or contact the school nurse. For additional information on quarantine and isolation, please see the At A Glance resource on our District website. If you have any other questions about this case, please email quinlat@lmsd.org.
Thank you for your flexibility, patience and resilience as we continue to deal with the ongoing pandemic and its impact on our school community.
