A group of volunteers from Bala Cynwyd Middle School recently spent the afternoon sorting and labeling clothes at the Cradles 2 Crayons Giving Factory as the culmination of a school-wide clothing drive organized by Student Council Vice President Ilana Zahavy. After Zahavy and her classmates began the drive roughly eight weeks ago, the BCMS community responded in kind as they amassed a panoply of items for those-in-need.
When the drive was over, Zahavy and her family, along with fellow Student Council members and their parents, loaded up their cars with the collected items, transported them to Cradles 2 Crayons and spent the rest of the afternoon lending a hand at the facility. Special thanks to all of those who donated to the cause and to all of the volunteers from Bala Cynwyd! Pictured in the photo are Erica Han and her daughter Camille; Zuzana Bissell; Bridget Gillam with her mom Susan Gillam; and Miriam Zahavy with her daughter Ilana Zahavy.
