COVID-19 Update to Community from Superintendent Copeland

Dear LMSD Families,

We understand that today's order from Gov. Wolf regarding the further closure of schools has prompted some confusion, as it would have students returning to school for a day or two in the middle of our previously scheduled Spring Break, on days that correspond with both the start of Passover and with Good Friday.

Therefore, as of now, all Lower Merion schools will remain closed through Friday, April 10, 2020. Students and teachers are expected to return to school on Monday, April 13, 2020.

In the meantime, teachers will be sharing additional expectations for remote learning beginning Monday, March 30, 2020.

Free meals for children will continue to be available on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Suburban Square. Click here for additional information. Please note: due to program restrictions, meals will not be distributed during Spring Break, April 6 & 8, 2020.

Thank you for your ongoing understanding and flexibility as we continue to react to this rapidly developing situation. Please continue to check our COVID-19 information page for additional updates.
