Welsh Valley Student Council Hosts Successful Holiday Food Drive

The Welsh Valley Middle School Student Council just wrapped up its most successful holiday food drive ever.

Students, staff and families donated enough food to provide 516 complete holiday meals, as well as $8000 in grocery gift cards, all of which were donated to the Ardmore Food Pantry and Eldernet. The gift card total was double the amount raised in 2024.

The generosity of the Welsh Valley community will help ensure that local families will have essential food and supplies this holiday season.

In addition to all the donors, the Student Council is grateful to the LMSD Nutritional Services and Operations departments, who supplied the truck and manpower to ensure the donations were safely delivered to the recipient organizations.
