Welsh Valley Robotics Earns “Judges Award” at Great Valley VEX Tournament

The Welsh Valley Middle School robotics team has enjoyed a strong start to their winter season, as the Dragons recently earned the Judges Award at Great Valley Middle School’s VEX Robotics Tournament. This special distinction is awarded to teams that demonstrate exemplary teamwork, effort and perseverance throughout the ups and downs of competition.

VEX Robotics tournaments challenge students to design, build and program robots that complete complex tasks in head-to-head matches. In addition to competing, teams are evaluated on their collaboration, problem-solving and ability to adapt when faced with setbacks. Judges also consider how well students communicate their ideas and document their engineering process.

Welsh Valley’s recognition highlights the dedication and resilience of its team members, who worked together to refine their robot, troubleshoot issues and support one another throughout the day. The award reflects not only their technical skills, but also the character and determination that define the Dragons’ approach to STEM learning.

Congratulations to the students and coaches on this wonderful accomplishment!
