Welsh Valley Middle School's theater program, Valley TLC, recently took centerstage in three powerhouse performances of their winter musical, Beauty & the Beast Jr., in front of full crowds of students, staff, family and friends!
Based on the original Broadway production that ran for more than thirteen years and was nominated for nine Tony Awards, and the Academy Award-winning motion picture, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast Jr. tells this tale as old as time - a story of transformation and tolerance - through the relationship of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to back in to his former self, but time is running out! If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and the rest of his household staff will be doomed to remain as they are for all eternity!
