Dear LMSD Families,
My first two weeks in Lower Merion have been a whirlwind of learning about our District and meeting many members of our diverse community, all of whom have been so welcoming. I am inspired, energized and looking forward to collaborating with so many different individuals who care deeply about our students.
Some highlights:
- I had the honor of congratulating the National Merit Semifinalists and Commended Students from Harriton and Lower Merion at my first Board meeting.
- I visited the construction site for Black Rock Middle School with students from Welsh Valley and Bala Cynwyd middle schools, who will be among the first seventh and eighth grade students there.
- I listened as staff and community members discussed goal-setting around Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives at a CARE meeting.
In the coming weeks, I hope to connect with even more of you who are stakeholders in our schools. I will be meeting with governmental and civic association representatives, students from all of our schools, leaders from the Lower Merion Education Association and several other local community organizations.
I hope you will consider attending one of the events below, where I will be available to listen to your concerns and answer your questions:
