Congratulations are in order for Lower Merion High School's Girls' Track and Field team, who won the Central Athletic League Championship with a total of 102.5 points, taking home the Central League crown for the first time since 1980.

Among the stellar performances were the 4 x 100 relay team of Bryce Murray, Paige Evans, Cheyenne Jackson-Gardner and Janell Mordi, who were undefeated in the Central League and finished second at both Districts and States.

Other outstanding accomplishments in Central League competitions were Mordi's 11-0 record in the 100-meter dash, Evans's 12-0 record 400-meter dash, and Viola Wilent's 11-1 record in pole vault. Wilent came in second at Districts and eighth at States.
