Lower Merion High School’s legendary boys basketball coach Gregg Downer recently reached a monumental milestone, earning his 700th career victory in a commanding 67-39 win over the Haverford Fords.

Since taking the helm in 1990, Coach Downer has built an extraordinary legacy over his 35-year tenure. Under his leadership, the Aces have captured numerous Central League titles, multiple district and state championships, and solidified their position as one of the preeminent programs in Pennsylvania high school basketball.

The historic win was celebrated with heartfelt enthusiasm by players, alumni, fans, friends and family alike, reflecting the deep sense of pride and community that defines the Lower Merion basketball program and Aces Nation.
