Harriton Student Wins State OPUS Competition

Congratulations are in order for Harriton High School 11th grader Noelle Streuber-Eden, who won First Prize in the String 4 category of the state OPUS Music Competition.

Streuber-Eden, an IB student who plays violin, was the only First Prize winner in Pennsylvania in the 2025 competition and will go on to represent the state at the national competition in 2026.

According to their website, the OPUS Music Competition is one of the largest classical music competitions in the United States, dedicated to identifying and nurturing exceptional young musical talent.

The competition provides a rigorous platform for emerging musicians to showcase their skills and advance through progressive stages of competition. Past winners have gone on to earn scholarships at some of the top colleges and music schools in the country.
